Remember God’s Word.

Many marriages have been broken up because of false rumors spread by jealous and envious by-standers, and reputations of honest and honorable people have been damaged by the terrible spread of gossip and lies.
 
Are you following the 9th Commandment?
 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” - Deuteronomy 5:20
 
Do you participate in the sin of gossip?

Are you spreading lies and passing along stories without even stopping to investigate if it is true?

Do you blindly trust the words of “worldly” authority - or your friend - or your family member – or the celebrity you follow - without questioning the motives behind their accusation?
  
Hear God’s word! “You must not lie or deceive one another.” - Leviticus 19:11
 
Starting lies about someone or spreading lies about someone is bearing false witness – and this is a terrible offense in the sight of God.

A TERRIBLE offense.
 
I can think of no other practice than this - except maybe deep-seated hatred and lack of forgiveness in your heart  - that would so quickly cut off the blessings and power of God in your life.
 
Repent of this ungodly behaviour today!  
Seek the Lord’s face and ask for His forgiveness before it is too late.
For the time of our Lord’s return is near.
