QUESTION: Do you mean the Lee Strobel who "investigated" Christianity by speaking only with biblical scholars? What skeptics did he speak with? He operated within a Christian echo chamber to confirm his own biased beliefs. Speak to any Jewish rabbi and they will disabuse you of the notion of "messianic prophecies." The devastated followers of Jesus of Nazareth went back to the Hebrew scriptures to make sense of why their beloved leader had died.while cherry-picking passages and taking them out of context. The "odds" are irrelevant if none of the passages were prophecies to begin with. There are plenty of "prophecies" Jesus didn't fulfill, and the Jews will be glad to tell you why Jesus could not have been the Messiah. Threats of Hell (separation from God) and judgment are scare tactics found only in books (Bible, Qur'an) and nowhere else. All you can do is appeal to your "holy" book . I would encourage you to read scholars who disagree with your position, If Lee had done that, I doubt he'd be a Christian today although I'm convinced he became a Christian because his wife was and he didn't want to lose her. Most people who embrace any religion do so for emotional and psychological reasons and not mathematical certainty.

ANSWER: Welcome to our channel Cindy and thank you for taking the time to write out your thoughts. It sounds like you’ve listened to a lot of opinions about Jesus and you’ve settled on your own truth about the matter – that is, what you personally believe to be true via your own experiences and finite understandings. While I sincerely urge you to re-reconsider going down this path, I know that I cannot change your mind. Even still, I will leave you with a few points to ponder and consider moving forward.....

First. God is not “a religion” and God was not created by man’s imagination. God created us in HIS image (not the other way around). And while it is true that Satan has corrupted the Body of Christ and distorted the Truth of His Word in religious churches in an impressive effort to confuse the masses, that doesn’t mean God isn’t real and it certainly doesn’t mean that His nature, commands, and judgements written down in His Word are not the Truth and will not come to pass just as they are written.

Second. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed this, but humans have a way of distorting the truth to fit their own wants and desires. It’s commonly known in psychology as “cognitive dissonance”. For example, this is why people continue to smoke cigarettes when they know it is killing them – they find a way to distort the facts in order to convince themselves that their behavior isn’t “that bad” so they don’t have to stop smoking.

Humans do the same thing with respect to sin and God’s commands.

This is ultimately why I encourage you to not look for the truth “inside of you”. Because the Truth is not in you. The Truth can only come from God. Jesus said, “I am the way, the Truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” (John 14:6).

While I appreciate your sentiments Cindy and the effort you made to present your case, I must tell you with absolute clarity – that you are wrong. I tell you this not to upset you or start a fight, but because it wasn’t too long ago that I also walked in darkness believing it was “light”.

The Truth, is that everything good in this world comes from God and God alone (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, TRUTH) and Jesus Christ (Yeshua Hamashiach in Hebrew) is the Creator God in the flesh. If you disagree with what I just said – then you are without Truth because Truth is not subjective. It is absolute and it comes from God. There is no such thing as “your truth” and “my truth” – there is just The Truth and everything else is called a lie. Plain and simple.

Finally (and this one is really important to understand) I do not exist because in “my reality I am real”. I exist because God created me. God is the One that dictates how the world operates – not you and not me - and there is only One Creator of the heavens and the earth. Only One “Great I Am”.

Furthermore, God doesn’t change His character based on who you or I want Him to be. He is constant. It would be pretty egotistical to think that God bends His morals and character so you will find Him pleasing – that He is somehow “different things to different people”. God doesn’t need to impress you and He certainly doesn’t need to change who He is to be accepted by you.

God created you for His own Glory – and if you remain in rebellion and hatred towards Him, He will cast you away. Why would He keep something around for eternity if it ignores Him, spits in His face, lies about Him, and refuses to submit to His authority? Would YOU keep someone like that in your life? An entitled, selfish, self-serving, ungrateful, liar?

I certainly wouldn’t.

I do hope you will ponder the points I made and search for the answers for yourself, and in the same way you have encouraged me to listen to people who disagree with what is written in the Holy Bible, I hope you will take your own advice and listen to some of the teachers I have listed on my recommendations page so you can have a true understanding of what the Holy Bible actually says:

Question:
Ok leaving our stances against abortion to the side for a minute here… what happens to a child that’s been raped and now has to give birth to a baby they had no power to avoid? I’m talking like 10-15 year olds? Giving birth can utterly destroy their bodies for life if they even survive. Are we against this scenario for abortion as well? I’m truly curious, not here to start any beef.

Answer:
Rape is an evil crime. Murder is an evil crime. Committing either of these acts is evil in the sight of a Holy God. The situation you described is heartbreaking, but the emotional aspect of your story doesn't change morality (i.e. right from wrong). Murdering a baby in the womb is evil to God because you are destroying His creation. Understand that God chose that specific human life to be placed inside that specific woman for a reason (albeit your scenario is hypothetical - which is a problem in itself - I do hope you understand that everything God does is for a greater purpose). And while we may not understand His reasoning (because we are not God), who are we to say that He - the Creator of the heavens and the earth - is wrong? If you are having these types of thoughts (i.e. "I know better than God) - resist them - because that is the anti-Christ spirit! Placing your thoughts and beliefs above the Most High God is what Lucifer did - and its what got him kicked out of heaven. The beliefs of the secular world will lead you to damnation. Following the Word of God will bring you to salvation. That is the plain and simple Truth. I pray you chose the narrow path, Selena. God bless.

I didn’t say I’m better than God, in fact I’m probably going to go to hell. I live the best life I can and treat people with as much respect as I can but I don’t know if it’s good enough. And people that think they are righteous usually need to work on themselves as well, no one knows where we will end up in the end only God knows. I just think making a baby suffer through child birth for a heinous act they couldn’t prevent is disgusting in itself. And anyone that believes this child should suffer, I will always be against. Sorry but this is the only scenario I believe abortion is ok.

Answer:
When you say, “I think” and it contradicts the Word of God – you are saying that your thoughts and beliefs are more valid than God’s – that is what self-righteousness is. I did not share “my” opinion with you – I simply stated the commands and laws of the Most High God which can be easily confirmed by reading His Word for yourself.

You can also listen to Pastor David Lynn for more clarity on the topic. He even addresses your opinion on murdering babies who are the by-product of rape by sharing what God has to say about that situation. (see video below)

With respect to your assertion that “no one knows where we will end up in the end” that is simply not true. God says that “the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing” – but those of us who have repented of our sins and have placed our full trust in God - have been given a new life. We have been born again into His spirit and so we know exactly where we will end up because God tells us in His Word that we are saved from damnation– and He does not lie.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Your statement should read that YOU don’t know where you are going – and that is because you have not accepted God’s free gift of grace so you are still bound by your love of sin – that is why you reject the Truth that is right in front of you.

“The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.” (John 3:19)

I do pray you will turn away from your sin and put your trust in the Saviour of the world. Yes, it is true that you will go to hell if you die in your sins, but until death takes you, you still have the option to choose the path that leads to eternal life. Use this gift of life to seek God while you still can. Repent of the evil things you have committed against Him and ask for His forgiveness. God is merciful and compassionate to the humble, but those who place their own opinions above His commands and laws will experience the fullness of His wrath. I pray you will act on this warning and look into the things I speak of today before it is too late - but that is entirely up to you.

Question: What if you have kids with a narcissist? I've been threw hell. Can a narcissist be healed? Has Jesus ever healed a narcissist?

Answer: Jesus can heal ANY sinner. There isn't anyone He can't save. His finished work on the cross is for everyone. THAT BEING SAID. Please don't waste your time waiting for the narcissist to repent - it is very unlikely this will ever happen and the abuse you will suffer in the process is not worth it. NPD is a personality disorder- which means the persons perception of reality has been permanently distorted.

They see the world through a lens that is very different then you and me. They also lack insight and therefore are incapable of understanding that they are the problem. Someone who doesn't believe they are a sinner will not see the value in a Saviour - and these people do not believe they are wrong. Ever. I grew up with narcissists and I have a background in mental health. These people are dangerous to your mind, body, and soul.

At best, they will take advantage of your kindness, drag your name through the mud, gaslight your memories, manipulate your destiny, and then discard you like garbage on the side of the road somewhere.

At worst? They will become obsessed with you and when you finally get tired of being their punching bag and try to leave, they will do everything in their power to destroy you - including trying to murder you.

My advice is simple - "once you know, you go". Pray for them, love them from a distance, but stay FAR FAR AWAY from them in person. You also need to protect your children because these people are DISASTEROUS parents. Never under estimate the intentions or capabilities of a narcissist. They are truly evil. And don't be fooled by the mask - the rage you experience in private is just a glimpse of the wicked serpent they really are.

Muslim Reader: I'm a monotheistic. I can't come to understand how worshipping a human being is going to take me into heaven.

Carmen: I am also monotheistic. I do not worship a human. I worship the God of Israel. The fact that you think I worship a human makes me question how much you really understand about the Christian faith. Have you studied the Bible? If not, that would be a good place to start. I encourage EVERYONE to read the Word of God with their own eyes.

Now let's talk about getting into heaven.....

Is it not true that God is all powerful, all knowing and capable of all things? Do you struggle with the truth of Jesus Christ’s deity because you think it is impossible for God to take human form? Because if that’s the case, would that not be denying His supreme power and sovereignty?

Or perhaps you have a hard time believing that the Creator of heaven and earth would come to our planet to save you – a mere human? I have struggled with that idea as well, but please understand that YOU – and I mean specifically YOU - are so very precious to God. So precious and beloved in fact, that God himself came to earth to die for YOUR sins and provide a way for YOU to have eternal life with Him in heaven.

God can do ALL things. There is nothing impossible for Him.
Even the forms He can take are endless (remember, he presented Himself to humans as a burning bush, cloud, and fire ball just to name a few).

God loves His creation so much that He became flesh to give us the blessed hope of eternal life in constant fellowship with Him. He is not faceless or nameless. He is not mysterious or distant. He is a loving, holy, righteous God that came to earth so He could save you from death and be in constant relationship with you while He sanctifies you and provides a NEW WAY for you to live. That is why Jesus said, “You must be born again”.

The Quran does not provide salvation. There is no hope in that book. There is no assurance of life in Muhammad's teachings. At best, you dedicate your whole life to good works (which the God of Israel views as filthy rags and a bribe by the way) for nothing more than a “maybe”.

The TRUTH can only be found in Jesus Christ because the Lord Jesus Christ is Emmanuel – GOD WITH US.
